HYDRODYNAMICS AND HYDRAULICS

Two classics in the history of science and engineering are presented in this work for students in science and the history of science. The book, first published by Dover Publications in 1968 and reissued in 2005, contains new English translations of the works Hydrodynamica, by Daniel Bernoulli, as published by Johann Reinhold Dulsecker at Strassburg in 1738, and Hydraulica, by Johann Bernoulli, as published by Marc-Michel Bousquet at Lausanne and Geneva in 1743. The book also contains an eight-page preface to the English translations by Hunter Rouse, former dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Iowa.
