NEW WORLD BLACKBIRDS

A guide to the family Icteridae, known as blackbirds, troupials or New World Blackbirds. A diverse family, the Icterids range throughout the Americas, from Alaska to Cape Horn, and including the Caribbean. Despite the name "blackbird", many of the 103 species covered in this book are very brightly coloured , and the group includes some of the most studied species in the world, Red-winged Blackbird and Brown-headed Cowbird for instance.
